May 8th, 2015 will mark the 70th anniversary of VE Day, the unconditional surrender of the armed forces of Nazi Germany and the destruction of Hitler’s Third Reich, followed on August 15th by VJ Day. It is probably the last time that the generation who fought that conflict.
