Defence minister on Arctic Convoy award 26.02.13 Defence Minister Mark Francois has been speaking about how Arctic Convoy Veterans will get their medals. He confirmed that veterans and their widows will be prioritised when awarding the Arctic Star. Other next of kin will be able to apply after. The minister said the government had fast-tracked announcing the new award due to concerns over the health of ageing veterans.
