A lovely song written and recorded by Mike Kearney and released in 2012. , Videod on location in Kinsale by Michael Hobbs.
Originally written in 1998 for the 'Cork Songs' album which was due for release in the year 2000. When Mike was originally commissioned a few years earlier to write an album to celebration "Cork 800" the only guideline he was given was... 'Keep it simple'.
He has certainly achieved that... 'Simple but beautiful read the headline on the local newspapers.
He originally wrote the song after a short stay with his friend, the late respected artist, John O'Donoghue, who was resident there at the time.
